Self expression and creativity is valued at Holy Family Catholic Academy. Art is taught one hour per week beginning in Kindergarten in our lower level art room. Here the environment is relaxed and inspiring for creative energy. Art instruction includes various art mediums, art concepts and studies of the masters.

Some examples of art concepts and mediums included in our Art Program curriculum include but are not limited to:

Symmetry exploration Repeatedly using 1 shape to make a drawing 3-dimensional art 3-dimensional illusion art on a 2-dimensional space Moving art Difference between shape and form; depth and value; and perspective Creating distance/ landscapes Shading and cast shadows Painting with watercolors Colored pencils Graded-wash assignments using acrylic paint
