Holy Family is proud to be recognized as a leader in bringing education into the 21st Century.

  • Holy Family Academy has received over a $1.5 million grant to implement a first-in-the-world educational application using a virtual Web 2.0 platform. Through the work of Dr. Emily Alford, Holy Family students will focus on an inquiry-based learning unit that will increase the students' understanding and use of 21st century communication technologies, including a Web 2.0 social networking platform, blog, wikis, emails and a Facebook-like component all through a secured intranet environment. • Holy Family 5th graders begin “Intergenerational Book Club”. Our 5th grade class welcomes 10 adults to join them in a book club. Students and adults read the same book and discuss their reactions at bi-monthly meetings. Holy Family believes that exposure to different perspectives is a major component of education. We thank our adult volunteers for sharing their wisdom and insight with our 5th graders.
