In our global society, it is increasingly important that young people gain appreciation and knowledge of other cultures and languages.

Holy Family’s foreign language program is based on the belief that children possess a greater aptitude for language acquisition in their younger years. The Academy believes that there are also "crossover" benefits between learning a new language and proficiency in a student's native language.

The foreign language program includes:

• Spanish instruction taught by a native speaker
• Initial focus on conversational Spanish and vocabulary development
• Progression to higher levels of reading and writing.
• Instruction beginning in kindergarten and meeting twice a week for 30-minute sessions.
• Exposure to the history and culture of Spanish-speaking peoples.
