Tuition
Tuition at Holy Family Catholic Academy is all-inclusive, and is cost-based. This means there are no additional fees charged (e.g. Book fees, foreign language fees, technology fees, etc.), no mandatory fundraising fees or mandatory contributions to the parish. Parishioners are eligible for tuition assistance on a needs basis.
Tuition Assistance Policy
The purpose of the tuition assistance program is to provide the economic diversity necessary for excellence in education by enabling families to attend Holy Family Catholic Academy who would not otherwise be able to afford the full tuition. This policy is based on the following:
- In order to encourage participation in our mission “to engage all in the sacramental life through vibrant worship, life-long learning, and passionate community,” we require that tuition assistant applicants register as parishioners at Holy Family Catholic Community.
- Tuition assistance is only offered to families with a child(ren) in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.
- Private School Aid Services (PSAS) is the agency to which parents submit an application and to whom the parents pay the application fee(s) (www.PSAS.org). Private School Aid Service evaluates all requests for tuition assistance to ensure an objective evaluation of each request and to maintain highest levels of confidentiality.
- Tuition assistance is “needs based” with a properly completed and submitted application to PSAS.
- Tuition assistance applications, when returned to the school, are reviewed by a committee comprised of the principal, the director of outreach and justice, and a financial person with knowledge of the school budget. The committee’s responsibility is to evaluate each application and consider special circumstances in light of the PSAS analysis.
- All families are invited (required) to pay a minimum amount of tuition for each child enrolled at the Academy.
- There is no other requirement imposed on families to be eligible to receive tuition assistance.
