Well, we did it...made it to Friday! I don't know about you but I feel like I worked 2 weeks in 1 week! I talked to the kiddos about lessening our work load on Fridays and by that I mean I'm taking out reading groups on Fridays, unless they need to catch up with where they need to be, then they should do that. Actually any work that needs to be completed, this would be a great day to get caught up.

Word Sorts Please choose 5 words from your word sorts and write a paragraph using those 5 words. Remember a paragraph should be 5-7 sentences and each sentence should have 7-9 words.

Zoom meeting at 9am please bring a journal entry you would like to share with the class. You should have a few from our first week of e-learning. It can be about anything you wrote and about and feel comfortable sharing with us.
Continue with Week 25 Daily work, both language and math, again Mrs. B will send you the corrections for this day.
Word Sorts Write each word 5 x using a blue colored pencil write the consonants of the word and in a red colored pencil write the vowels from each word.
Reading groups
ALL groups were emailed yesterday what their assignments are for today. I'm going to try to schedule group zooms later this week.

You should have completed reading ch. 7 Receiving, please make sure all the pages are completed for that chapter and all the stickers have been placed. When you are finished we are going to do an art activity called "Colorful AMEN!" Please get a piece of construction paper or any paper you have and spell out the word AMEN in any creative way you would like. Some kiddos have used yarn, buttons, paint or crayons are fine too. I've attached a picture to give you an example of the AMEN activity. Then send me a picture of your completed AMEN! Can't wait to see them all.

Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a restful spring break. I am so excited to be able to see all of you live today at our first Zoom meeting and then again in the afternoon for our read aloud. I have sent some important rules to your parents for Zooming that will allow us all to be active participants and great listeners to everyone.

Please complete morning work week 25 both language and math sections for Monday, Mrs. B will be emailing you the answers for you and your parents to check.
Word Sorts we will be using commonly misspelled and high frequency words as our word sort words this week. I have emailed each group their words. On a piece of paper please put these words in ABC order, have your parent check them for accuracy.
All Reading Groups
I am not sure if all groups were able to get the books for our groups, would all parents please let me know if your child has a copy of the book that we asked you to purchase for your child? I would like to begin these as soon as possible. With that in mind, for reading groups today please complete the packet I sent home, Lesson 7 Recounting Stories and the story that is attached to that, “The Lion and the Mouse” along with the questions that go along with it.

Write a summary about what you read, please use 5-7 sentences, remembering your punctuation marks, good word choice words and draw a picture to go along with your summary and please bring that back on our next attendance day. Go to the EXTRA MATH web site extramath.com and complete 3 rounds, followed by a math game of your choice. Then, go to iReady https://login.i-ready.com/
and complete 3 lessons in both reading and math. Choose a book from www.getepic.com (nrl0735) that relates to our current inquiry unit. Read the book and write 5 facts you learned from your chosen book and bring your facts back on the next attendance day.
