Why Seek Authorization as an International Baccalaureate World School (IB)?
A hallmark of HFCA is our commitment to continuous improvement. Authorization as an IB school is a logical next step in our effort to take HFCA to the next level. HFCA’s thinking curriculum was already aligned with much of the IB framework including inquiry-based learning, transdisciplinary themes, and foreign language instruction. In addition, becoming part of the IB organization provides our faculty and staff:

- Access to IB’s online curriculum centre with publications and teaching materials
- The opportunity to participate in worldwide online forums with other IB practitioners,
- The ability to incorporate educational best practices from a range of international frameworks and curricula.
In summary, IB is more than a framework. It is a vibrant, global network of educators and experts who share ideas, and best practices in teaching, and assist HFCA teachers to address the needs of our diverse students.
