1. Open the interactive "Phases of the Moon".
2. There are three tabs at the top. You will only need to use the first tab, "Monthly Cycle".
3. You may have to scroll up or down on the screen to see the tabs at the top and bottom of the interactive.
4. Read through the first slide showing the Sun and Moon, and describing the major phases.
5. Then click the box at the bottom marked "Next". (You may have to scroll down to see it.)
6. Read the explanation on this slide, then click "Play Animation".
7. Watch the position of the Moon, Earth, and Sun for each phase. (You can stop the animation at any point by clicking "Stop Animation".)
8. Open the Phases of the Moon Part 2 Assignment, and open the attached Google Docs worksheet "Moon Phase Analysis".
9. Use the information from the interactive animation to fill in the worksheet. Once you complete the sheet, make sure your name is on it and click "Submit".

1.Do your best to follow the procedure.
2. If you do not have your moon observation sheet, use the moon charts for February and March that I included in the attached PowerPoint. Copy the notes from the PowerPoint into your journal, if you do not have them already.
