Attached are the directions for a culminating religion project that will take the remainder of the year. Please read the document carefully as it outlines what you need to do, how you need to it, when you need to work on each step and who you are working with. Continue working on presentation final touches and animations. Please connect with each group member to ensure that the work is well done and consistent throughout. Project is due Monday morning.

Finish research. Begin creating slides for presentation using your given research. One students should create and title the presentation then share with others and with me. Be sure that your slides use pictures as well as text to engage the audience. Check in with each other as you go so that backgrounds, fonts and images are consistent throughout. You do not want a presentation that appears pieced together, but one that is fluid.

Watch this TedTalk on how one person finds joy in everyday things. Reflect in your journal-How do you find joy? Why is it so important that we feel and share joy? How does our joy make someone else's life brighter? When finished, go out and blow some bubbles!! (you'll understand after watching) Take a pic and send to me for extra credit. :o)

Find a quite, peaceful place to start your day with meditation and prayer. This is a 15 minute meditation.

Read the attached scripture and reflect on doc or in your journal. If you use your journal, please let me know and I will trust you took time to reflect.

Watch the attached TedTalk. Tania has been through so much more than we can understand yet she finds gratitude in the midst of crisis and chaos. Reflect on your feelings of gratitude and what you can learn from Tania's story. How can you apply her attitude/outlook to your own life?

Take a few minutes (it takes a little longer than 12) in a quiet space to meditate and pray. You've made it through another week!

Reflect on the attached scripture.

On a Google doc, write a paragraph telling me what random acts of kindness you performed (the ones you gave me last Monday unless you did others), how it affected the people you were kind to and how these acts made you feel. The reflection should be well written so be sure to proofread your work.

Complete the attached reflection sheet.

Meditate in quiet room using this guided meditation link. It will take approx. 20 minutes.

Watch the video below. There are two short answer questions, one before and one after the video. Please respond to each but for the last one, please record your answer also on a Google doc so that you can look back at it throughout the week. You'll understand when you see it ;o)

The due date for this is Friday as you will be asked to do something each day this week, however, please watch the video and respond to the questions by 3:30 PM today.

See the attached directions below. Be sure to read multiple articles before deciding on the one you like best. Hope completing this brings you some joy, even though it is an assignment! We could all use some good news right about now.

Take a half hour today to sit quietly and read some of these positive stories that your classmates have shared.

Using the link below, read through each of the stations. Reflect about each on the attached Google doc and submit. Compete this assignment over multiple days as it is not meant to be rushed through. Consider reading and reflecting about 2-3 stations at the end of each day. You have a week to complete, but I do not want you to have to do homework over Easter, if possible.

Find a quiet space to journal. Consider playing some alpha waves as you relax and center your thoughts. In your gratitude journal, write about your Easter. How was it different? How did you feel about those differences? What did your family do to try to stick with tradition? What new traditions did you create? Are there things that you would like to continue to do during future Easters that you did this year?

Complete the attached reflection.

Take time to fill out the attached form and email it to your assigned classmate. Each person send to the name following yours. Be kind and thoughtful. Feel free to add some of your own thoughts, ideas, questions. I just want you to reach out to each other. I miss all of you!!!

Take 2 minutes to listen to Alpha waves in a quiet, dark room where you can relax and focus your mind. Then, read the attached scripture and reflect on the questions below it.

Using your brainstorming chart from yesterday, write a poem that mimic's the Ben Harper song. Below are the requirements:

1. Poem must be three separate stanzas of at least six lines
2. Every other line in the stanza will be " With my own two hands" which means you really only have to come up with nine ideas.
3. Each stanza should have a central idea or theme. For example, stanza 1 may be ways you can help your community; stanza 2, your family; stanza 3, the world. Be sure to be creative and really consider what you can do WITH YOUR HANDS. Be thoughtful and heartfelt. For example, "I can wipe a child's tear, with my own two hands", not " I can score the winning shot, with my own two hands." While personal success is important, it is not the focus of this activity.
4. Complete your poem on Google Doc, proofread, revise and then submit your poem.

During this season of Lent and considering our current situation, really take time to think and appreciate all of your blessings and how you can share them with others. ;o)

Below is a link to a song by Ben Harper called "With my Own Two Hands". Listen to the song and consider the message the artist is sending. (Lyrics are also attached) Next, using the pre-writing chart, brainstorm ways that you can make the world better using your own two hands. Tomorrow you will write a poem mimicking the style of the song lyrics but adding your ideas of how you can make the world a better place.

Here is a digital copy of what we covered in class today. Please write one sentence about what the artist is trying to say in each of the the slides and one sentence about how you can apply this idea to YOUR life.

Please write or type up your project idea including its relation to the theme, "More than a Roof" and provide a list of materials needs. Work with parents to secure items needed over the long weekend. Anything we have in the classroom is also available for you to use (markers, colored pencils, construction paper, glue etc.)
