Making a Rainstick!
This week I would like you to try to make a rainstick.
Materials
- Cardboard tube
- Washi tape
- Beans or rice
- White duck tape
How to make a rainbow rainmaker or rain stick
Most homemade rainmakers or rainsticks have nails or drawing pins pushing randomly through the side to slow down the rice or dried beans and make the sound of falling water.
Cover the tube with white tape and add beans.
Decorate it with washi tape.

For this week I would like you to attempt to make your own maraca. Here are the instructions.
1. Rinse bottle, remove the label. Fill the bottle with rice.
2. Cut toilet paper roll lengthwise down one side and unfurl. Insert the roll into the bottle.
3. Tape the bottle with lots of patterned wash tape.
4. Decorate the bottle any way you want.
5. Have Fun!
