good afternoon first graders time to settle in for our read about today and how are you liking mrs. Spears animal adaptations it looks like from your work you are you all are enjoying it maybe she's used it or could use it on her next science and education project for you it is a Magic Tree House Number 6 afternoon on the Amazon and Mary Pope is our author and illustrator so I thought this would be appropriate since you're doing animal adaptations I don't have the the five underneath this one to read to you because they're at school but I do have some here at my house for my leftover for my children's so I'm going to start with book number 6 and let's see what happens on afternoon on the Amazon look at the cover alright so we've read the title so you have someone to tell there and then look at the picture mistake you can just some inferencing from this who all are getting go to the infant seen in your thinking voices as well chapter one is called where's peanut hurry Jack how did Annie Annie ran into the Frog Creek Woods Jack follows her it's still here and he called T I caught up with Annie she Stood Beside a tall oak tree Jack looked up the Magic Tree House was shining in the app we're coming peanuts called Annie she grabbed the rope ladder and started up Jack Powell they climbed and climbed into the tree house Jackson got his backpack he looked around some icelanded across the stack of books books about ninjas Pirates mommy's and dinosaurs the letter M Shimmer down the wooden floor from Morgan Le Fay ashy Jack I just know it's a Danny O Brothers to Jack he laughed at Jack a small pink sock was moving across the floor yesterday and had turned into a bed for peanut and he picked up the tiny lump a brown and white mouse picked up the slack she looked from Annie to Jack with her big eyes Jack left Thai peanut he said Danny in Old Japan peanut help head help them with when they had gotten lost we have to find three more things for Morgan City Annie glasses into place first we have to find a clue that tells us where to begin he said guess what the Danny what's the deck we don't have to look very far she pointed at the corner of the treehouse in the shadows was a open chapter 2 big bugs wow suggest picking up the book the Ninja Book was open yesterday now this one was a hoop now this one open open them Jack closed the book and looked at the cover it showed a picture of a green forest the trees were very tall and close together on the cover where the words the rainforest Elsa Jack O no said Annie play Jack I learned about the rainforest in school today any it's filled with big bugs and spiders and Elsa Jack half of them have never been named it's creepy so Danny it needs a Jack he wanted to take lots of notes in the rainforest maybe he could even name some of the unknown bugs neat accident she shivered don't get it to Jack you weren't afraid of dinosaurs so you weren't afraid of the castle guards or the mummy ghost so you aren't afraid of the Pirates or ninjas so you're not afraid of really scary things but you're afraid of little bugs and spiders that doesn't make sense so Jack side listening said we have to go there to help Morgan that's why the book was left open I know that's a Danny frowny plus the rain forests are being cut down so Jack don't you want to see one before it's too late and he took a deep breath and slowly nodded okay then let's go he opened the book again he pointed to a picture that shows Blue Sky green leaves and bright flowers I wish we could go there he said the wind began to blow State your  to Danny s you put the mouse in her pocket the wind picked up the tree house started to spin Jack squeezed his eyes shut the wind was whistling now the treehouse Easter everything was still absolutely still wild silence broke the silence
