HFCA 8th grader writes and performs song

8th grader, Meghan McLaughlin used her talent and passion to write and perform a song that speaks to the strength and hope of our HFCA Community during this spring's stay-at-home order. States Meghan, "During the stay at home order, I decided to write this song to share positivity and hope. HFCA has truly inspired me by reassuring all of us that we are in this together through our school and faith community." Thank you, Meghan!

Lessons Learned--HFCA One Month into e-learning

HFCA 7th Grade Students Sweep Honors in CCHD Competition

HFCA 7th graders had a clean sweep of awards from the Chicago Archdiocese's Catholic Campaign for Human Development's annual Creating on the Margins Contest. 3rd place for her art work went to Megan, 2nd place for their stop motion video, "More than a Roof" went to the team of Meaghan, Allison, and Ruby; and Issy won 1st place for her video, "The Truth about Homelessness." Issy's project will be part of the national competition. https://bit.ly/3cT8Nxy Congrats to all who participated.

HFCA--First Middle School Program in Illinois to be STEM Certified

Holy Family Catholic Academy (Inverness) has long been regarded as an innovator in educating students in 2-year-old preschool through grade 8. This week that innovation was again recognized and validated. AdvancED, a multinational, non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of educational institutions, named HFCA as the first middle school program in Illinois to earn STEM Certification. This announcement came just weeks after HFCA was awarded a 2017 Blue Ribbon Award as an Exemplary High Performing School by the US Department of Education.
