Language and Arts

Holy Family Catholic Academy believes education in language and the arts is essential to encouraging creativity and innovative thinking skills and is a critical medium for building leadership, self-esteem, discipline, and a life-long appreciation for the arts. Written and oral presentation skills are developed using a variety of resources including technology and software tools.

Our commitment to transdisciplinary learning allows proficiency in STEM and achievement in language arts to go hand in hand. Read "The Write Stuff: HFCA Students Win Local, District, and State Contest.

Spanish language instruction uses the same material covered in area public high schools' Spanish I curriculum allowing qualifying students to place in Spanish II.

Music and art instruction is designed to provide a creative outlet. These classes help students identify their own unique talents and abilities while also connecting them to the larger world.

Students participate in two performing arts modules each year led by trained theater professionals. They are exposed to a wide range of artistic expression including improvisation, dramatic reading, creative movement, and musical theater. Upon graduating from HFCA, students will have participated in a total of six performing arts productions and many of our graduates continue to perform in their respective high schools.
